An Invitation

The Unanimous Declaration of the Family of B-----

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one family to celebrate the American Revolution with a party, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they invite their friends to celebrate with them. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. We will be celebrating these truths in such form as shall seem most likely to effect our safety and happiness. Please join our party at 4---- (Street name) on Sunday, the 13th of August, at six o’clock in the evening. Let this invitation be submitted to a candid world.

Oh, sure wish we could come, too! I love the idea of a big summer (educational) party instead of individual birthday parties! Now that our numbers are swelling, it is definitely worth considering for our family, too. Can't wait to hear more details about your fun party! Enjoy!

Yes, we started realizing that we were inviting or wanting to invite the same families over for all these birthday parties, and we so didn't want to obligate them for a bunch of presents. Plus, I didn't want to plan a tons of big parties! So when we moved here is when we started this new tradition. Easier all around, and a lot of fun!! No one has complained! : )

are very lucky children indeed.
And as for me and mine...I want to thank you for having 5 (or more)children, as I didn't have any. And then for sharing with us your life and times.
